BaySystems elastomers polyurethane materials for the toughest jobs
Polyurethane elastomers are rubber-elastic materials made from polyurethanes that can have a solid or a cellular structure.
The components are reacted by mixing, and are poured into open molds. The reaction mixture cures in the mold to form an elastomer. If the mixture is highly reactive, elastomers can also be applied by spraying or rotational methods.
Elastic, solid Baytec® materials are ideal for durable components in high-wear applications. Cast and spray elastomers are used in almost all industries where high load-bearing capacity, minimal wear, elasticity and resistance are key. Cellular elastomers are used where high-wear resistance and deformability are called for, e.g. for car springs.
Wherever exceptional mechanical and dynamic material properties are crucial, Vulkollan® is synonymous with maximum performance in the world of elastomers.
