BaySystems flexible foams – exquisite comfort
Products made out of Bayfit® flexible foam are a vital part of our everyday lives, e.g. in automotive seating and mattresses. Not only does Bayfit® provide comfort in furniture, seats, cushions and mattresses, but its further technical properties are exploited in other applications. Elasticity in foamed seals, sound absorption in components for car interiors and excellent adhesion in the manufacturing of air filters are just a few examples of uses for this versatile material.
Flexible foams can be produced as slabs using continuous or discontinuous methods. However, many applications for Bayfit® flexible foams require a complex geometry that can often be achieved more cost-effectively by producing the foam in molds. There are truly no limits to the design freedom and the high level of comfort.
As well as highly elastic cushioning systems, special systems with enhanced flame retardance and particular viscoelastic properties are available. These viscoelastic memory foams with slow rebound properties offer optimum pressure distribution under load, thereby producing maximum comfort in seating and bedding.
