Collection of data
Bayer S.p.A. processes its users’ personal data in accordance with the Code on the Protection of Personal Data regulated by Legislative Decree 196/2003.
Bayer also emphasizes, to ensure that users have all the necessary and appropriate information, that current computing systems and the software procedures set up for the operation of internet sites collect certain personal data whose transmission is an essential part the use of internet communication protocols.
Although this personal data could by its nature lead to the identification of the user, Bayer S.p.A. ensures that the data are and will be used for the sole purpose of obtaining anonymous statistical information on use of the site and to monitor its proper operation, and that the data are deleted immediately after processing.
Subject to the above statement, however, the data may be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of computing offences adversely affecting the site.
Collection and processing of personal data
The personal data collected may be sent or disclosed to other Bayer S.p.A. subsidiaries or associated companies for the purpose of activities closely connected with or instrumental in the performance of services.
The personal data furnished by users when requesting information materials (brochures, literature, etc.) is used for the sole purpose of supplying the requested products or services, and is disclosed to third parties only where necessary for that purpose (companies that perform packing, labeling and shipping services).
In addition to the above, such personal data will not be passed on or disclosed to third parties unless such disclosure is a contractual requirement or unless the express consent of the persons concerned has been obtained.
Rights of the persons concerned
Pursuant to article 7 of the Code on the Protection of Personal Data (Legislative Decree 196/2003), users have the right at any time to obtain confirmation of the existence or non-existence of personal data and to know its content and origin, verify its accuracy or request it to be supplemented, updated or amended.
Non-use of cookies
This site does not use cookies, and therefore no data is sent from our web server to the user’s browser.
Minimum security measures
Bayer has adopted at least the minimum security measures required by articles 33 and 34 and Attachment B to the Code on the Protection of Personal Data (Legislative Decree 196/2003) regarding the electronic processing of personal data.
The time required to process the personal data will be only the time strictly necessary to accomplish the purposes for which the data has been collected.
