Baypreg® has been successfully used since 1990 for the production of composite polyurethane parts. From the original core business of water sports, the product range has since been extended to cover the entire leisure segment. A particular focus has emerged in the fields of camping, skiing and snowboarding.
Baypreg® is available in two variants:
For sandwich structures in which an optimum bond is needed between the individual elements and in which decorative surfaces are used (e.g. skis)
With an integrated release agent for structural parts without a decorative layer (e.g. steps)
Baypreg® has some impressive features:
Solvent-free
Suitable for all compression molding processes
Compatible with all kinds of different core materials such as polystyrene, wood, plastics, polyurethane, aluminum and paper honeycomb
Can be reinforced with many fiber materials such as glass, carbon and natural fibers
